Final Day

This is the end my lonely friend! Not really, not now lol, this is the beginning..

I have learn’t so much in the 3 months of this course and really appreciate Curtin and staff especially Cynthia for putting it all together so nicely. My reasons for doing the course were to improve my Internet skills so I can use the Internet more successfully in my daily life. I feel I have achieved this, and now have a thirst for more Internet learning and growth. I now realize the importance of the Internet’s position in modern life and how it has become almost a necessity to operate in our modern societies. I feel in the very near future all school children in the western world will do Internet Studies as part of the common curriculum.

I have a heap of re-study to do before I move on however. I want to go over all that I have written and studied and explore more avenues of effective research, study and creativity. This course has really developed my interest in pursing Internet communication and creation to a whole new level. There is so much opportunity out there in Cyberspace to expand ones creative expression and links with the global population.

I think I’m HOOKED!

Two Days to go….

August 23, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I’m really struggling at getting all my studies under-control.. There are so many avenues that are presenting themselves to me, and it’s difficult to remain focused on one thing..

For instance I am going through alot of searching and researching on tweaking and optimizing my XP so my entire PC performs more hopefully faster than it is atm. Atm there are long delays, stalls and crashes going on and alot of my information is being disrupted. So I feel atm it is vital that I address my PC’s performance before It’s too late, and lose all power, performance and potentially the entire system..

I am going through an article on backing up my system, something I have neglected to do for a long time but always intend to do so. I have lost all my system devices, software, bookmarks, documents etc quite a few times, and I still haven’t backed up my system. This neglected area I know realise is extremely important, as there is no point in using a PC for advanced purposes if you can quite easily lose all your work and progress in the matter of seconds. This has been my way of PC use, where the road behind me is always slipping away into nothingness.

Not a productive and sustainable eco-system I have been creating, but I do now realize more than ever the need for essential backup strategies
